PayTabbers celebrate Health Day

Event held at PayTabs to coincide with World Health Day which falls on 7 April, annually
Bahrain, April 2018: They say, ‘health is wealth’. And this theme resonated throughout PayTabs when the company hosted its’ first ever Health Day for employees.
Employees were requested to dress in the signature colours for the day; shades of green. The firm’s culture committee kick started the Thursday morning by serving breakfast to every staff member in an artistically designed, eco-friendly box. The green box was cleverly branded to convey key messages such as ‘drink 2 litres of water per day’ and ‘eat more vegetables and cereal’. The box contained nutritious food rich in vitamins, proteins and antioxidants such as fruit, salad, eggs and juice. Each employee was also presented with a PayTabs Health Day pin badge to commemorate the special event.
The event was graced by officials, consultants and guest speakers from AXA Insurance, Bahrain Specialist Hospital and Magrabi Optical. The team members from AXA Insurance guided employees through the new health insurance plan and offered detailed explanations on the benefits of the customized scheme.
While Mrs Nagham Noureddine, Head of Services from the dietetic department of the Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH) spoke about the benefits of healthy living, specialists from Magrabi Optical were on hand to support PayTabbers with on-the-spot vision tests, for safe measure. The medical team from BSH also offered free medical screening inclusive of blood sugar tests, blood pressure tests and height and weight tests for PayTabbers.
Speaking at the event, Mrs Elham Mattar, Head of Human Resources said, “Since we spend over 8 hours indoors, at our desks each day, it is important for our team members to remember to embrace the healthier side of life as well. Our focus today is on nutrition and overall well-being not only for our employees, but their family members too. We plan to make PayTabbers Health Day an annual event, each April to commemorate World Health Day.”
Ms. Fairooz Al Asfoor, the Senior Business Development Manager at AXA Insurance (Gulf) added: “The PayTabs Health Day was a well-organized event with beneficial healthy tips to the PayTabs team, as the greatest wealth is health”.
The afternoon culminated with giveaways and discount vouchers on dental consultations and ENT procedures for the 60 plus PayTabs employees of the PayTabs Bahrain office.
